You've been dating this woman for quite some time now. The two of you have gone out on a few dates and things seem to be going fine. You even spend most of your free time together.

Fantastic, isn't it? Well, not quite. Although you've gone out with her a few times, your dating experience with this lady doesn't seem to be going anywhere. You've sent her flowers, candy, and you've even cooked for her. Sure, the two of you hang out together. You talk once in a while on the telephone but that's it. She obviously knows you like her. In fact, you may have expressed your love for her somewhere back there.

The problem is that she just doesn't seem to be "into you". Sure, she hasn't said anything such as "let's just be friends" or "Sorry, but you're just not my type". But she isn't all that "sweet" either. And when you do bring up the topic of being "more than just friends", you feel as though she reaches for an invisible remote control and switches you off. She doesn't just change the topic. You're completely cut off, until sometime later, when she starts talking to you again. When this happens however, it's like she hasn't heard a single word you've said.

So is it time to call it quits? Are your dreams of "she'll come around to liking me someday" just that - dreams? We hate to be the one to break it to you but you're right. Those dreams are and will remain dreams. The mere fact that she "turns off your channel" Is a clear sign that she doesn't like you. Sure, she may hang around with you but that's all there is to it. She may simply see you as a friend. Your "dating" may be just that as well-dating. There isn't anything else you can do.

While some men may take this as a challenge, we suggest you don't. You see, "switching you off" is her "nice way" of telling you that she's just not into you. It would be in your best interest not to push the issue any further. Doing so may just have some dire consequences. One of these may involve her telling you in a hurtful manner that she doesn't like you. Unfortunately, this came about all because she got the impression that you just couldn't take a hint. And you were sort of getting into her nerves.

It is actually your choice. She obviously likes you as a friend. So you can stick around and be one. If however, your feelings for her are simply too strong, then it is better to walk away. In the end, you still get to keep your self-respect and save whatever friendship the two of you share.

Don't let this experience stop you from dating other women. It may hurt like hell now. Not to worry old boy. You'll be back and raring to go in no time.
