Single men are searching for single women. The same with single women as they are trying to find single men. Very few people like to be lonely, so it is only natural that we are in a constant search for our special someone, even without realizing it. Now imagine this situation. You are a man, buying some groceries in a supermarket. Quite a few women are around you doing the same thing and there is a possibility that one of them is single and positive about finding a man for a relationship. So, how do you tell if the woman is checking you out? Would not it be wonderful to be able to understand those signals of her attraction to you? Chances are, you may have already missed a couple of great opportunities to meet someone special simply because you were not answering to her subtle non-verbal communication. Looking for clues of a woman checking you out? So, here are just a few of them.

One of the most important clues is eye contact. The longer she maintains it, the more interested she is. While sustaining that eye contact with you she may be batting her eyelids one or more times (one slow bat after another). There is no need to be afraid of initiating eye contact with her. She might look at you, look away, then look back at you. If she smiles at you, give her a smile back. By initiating eye contact with her you will be able to tell if she is pleased or not that much.

Up and down look, or look across the breadth of your chest, most likely taking in your shoulder. Even a look at your shoes can be a good signal that she is checking you out. It is hard to believe but shoes can say much about you and your personality.

If you get to the point of talking to a woman, there are quite a few other clues that you should look for to see if she is interested in you.

While talking with you, she will communicate her interest by touching or playing with her hair, often times at the back of the neck, winding it in circles.

She might be teasing you just a bit or joke around with you. She will laugh at your jokes, bite or lick her lips too much. This can also be a positive sign of her interest in you.

It is important to understand her body language. Is she trying to get closer to you, her body is open towards you and she has intent focus on you? Signs of interest are usually quite easy to detect. A few more that I can add are nervous hand gestures such as tapping the table, bobbing her leg up and down.

While talking to you, she may get a bit touchy feely with you, which is also one of the killer signs that she is interested in you.

There is a great chance that a friend of yours told you once that some woman was checking you out. It is because someone's interest in another person may easily be noticed by a third party. So, it is never bad asking your friend to let you know if someone is checking you out, so that you can check that person out and act before it is too late and the person is gone.

There might be many other clues of a woman checking you out. The above listed are just a few of them. The point is: if a woman is looking and smiling at you, and some of the clues I listed are present, that is half your battle. Take your chance and try initiating a conversation by saying a simple "Hi, how are you?" and see where it leads to. It is worth trying since life is too short, right?
