Being single is an involuntary condition. Most of the time we don't want or like to be lonely. Everybody likes that feeling of missing someone; feeling the other person's affection, giving a kiss or receiving one, a surprise here and there. It is only natural to want to have those things in your life since we are human. Just recall the last time you saw an elderly couple holding hands, or people hugging. You want those things, don't you? But is it really that bad to be single? Should we feel unhappy and incomplete if we don't have that special someone in our life? I don't think so.

Being single is definitely better than being stuck in a relationship that you are not happy about. It gives us plenty of time to reflect on who we are and the way to improve ourselves in many different ways. You can improve yourself mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically. Everybody has made mistakes in their past relationships, so it is good to have some time to reflect back on the mistakes and understand what you did wrong and never repeat those mistakes again. It is not good to dwell on the past all the time, since that way you won't be able to move forward. So, try not overdoing with it.

There are many people out there who actually enjoy being single and the things they like in their current status are:

- you don't need to answer to anyone;

- you can do what you want, when you want and how you want to do it;

- it gives you time to reflect on previous relationships;

- gives you freedom to pursue your dreams and careers;

- you can have a lot of fun spending time with your friends, clubbing and doing the things you would not normally do if you were in a relationship;

- you can flirt with people of the opposite gender;

- you don't have emotional roller coaster rides;

- you have control over your money;

These are just a few of them but believe me, there are many others. The most important thing to remember is that being single is what you make of it, so enjoy it! It is very likely that sooner or later you will find a woman or a man to establish a romantic relationship with. When that time comes will no longer be able to enjoy the life of a single.
